Ihre Aufgaben
As Production Manager, you will lead manufacturing operations through strong, visible people leadership. You will create a safe, high-performing environment where teams are engaged, accountable and continuously improving.
Balancing operational excellence with genuine care for people, you will ensure production targets are delivered safely, efficiently and sustainably, while developing capability and leadership strength across the shopfloor. This role requires a hands-on leader who understands manufacturing rhythms, builds trust with teams, and drives performance through clear standards, coaching and structured improvement.
- Lead and champion a safety-first, people-first culture, embedded with Courage to Care values, where wellbeing, trust and accountability come first
- Build and maintain strong, engaged teams through visible leadership and open communication
- Coach, mentor and develop team members, building leaders of the future
- Deliver daily, weekly and monthly production targets across safety, quality, delivery, cost and efficiency
- Ensure production plans are executed effectively, balancing labour and material availability
- Optimise production flow, line performance and resource utilisation to improve output, productivity and reduce waste
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure smooth, end-to-end operations and strong collaboration across the site
- Manage budgets and production forecasts responsibly
- Lead root cause analysis and structured problem-solving to eliminate recurring issues
- Drive adherence to standard operating procedures and world class manufacturing practices
- Monitor KPIs such as OTIF, OEE, waste, downtime, labour productivity etc and use data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through embedded lean principles and structured improvement initiatives
- Encourage team ownership of improvement activities and recognise team achievements
- Manage Capex budgets and production projects from inception to delivery. Lead the change management processes involved
- Align operational decisions with business strategy and long term objectives
- Plan for and respond effectively to unscheduled challenges, such as power failures or unplanned downtime, ensuring safety, clear communication and minimal disruption
Ihr Profil
- Background in Production Management in an industrial environment
- Ideally working knowledge of Machinery (Laser, Folding)/fabrication/welding/production line
- A People centric leader, experience building engaged and high-performing team
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proven track record of championing a safety-first culture in an industrial and/or manufacturing environment, ideally this will be supported with a safety qualification such as IOSH Managing Safely
- Experience delivering sustainable production outcomes in; quality, cost and efficiency
- Demonstrated experience driving continuous improvement using lean principles
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capability
- A high level of commercial acumen; experience managing budgets, forecasts and operational costs
- Strong planning and prioritisation skills
- Excellent IT skills
